Sayonara Solstice

Sayonara live in Dallas, Texas

Ever wonder what it’s like to start a band? Well, if you follow my friends in Sayonara, you get a pretty good glimpse of a new band fighting the good fight.

Formed by Sean Blythe and Debbie Pucek in late summer 2010, Sayonara has been writing songs and steadily building their fan base, one fan at a time. Calling Dallas, Texas their home, this duo is part of the Lilypad Records roster, releasing this maxi-single via our bandcamp store.

Discourage Wolf (Maxi Single) — released June 21st — comes delivered with two mixed versions in subtle variations for discriminating audiophiles and a live, acoustic performance of Bulletproof Tiger (recorded February 27, 2011 and broadcast via The Pad as part of Lilypad’s Record Store Day 2011 celebration). It’s a dollar for a great cause. What cause is that? Well, we’re trying to spread the Sayonara sound and your contribution goes straight to the recording budget for their yet-to-be-named, in-progress début EP.

Visit the band at their website and Facebook page and listen to “D Wolf” right here. If you like it, the Lilypad bandcamp store provides a wealth of file options for your downloading pleasure.

As always, I thank you for listening. Happy Summer!
